Mutual projects are determined with concensus of Technical Board Members and
approved by Executive Board. As the projects are determined, technological
appliance potential is considered both in Technical Board and Executive Board.
The member organizations’ agents who would like to be assigned are defined in
the Technical Board meetings if possible. The consultants help projects to obey
project calender, supply the projects to be suitable for industrial applications
and provide project results be applied by getting regular information from
academical consultants about the project’s condition. According to the
requirements of the collaborator companies and decision of R & D Coordinator,
the concern of the project, project calender, and staff who will be charged for
the project are identified. As SAM personnel can be assigned for the projects,
also university’s academic staff can take charge in according to their area of
expertise. For the projects which are accepted in Executive Board, academic
consultants are determined by R&D Coordinator. Academic consultants prepare
project proposal in a format determined in the project proposal form. After
industrial consultants’ suggestions are also considered, the proposal is
presented to R & D Coordinator. The project gets started after the proposal is
examined. The term of the mutual projects is determined according to their
concern.
Project results are reported by the project’s academic consultant and all the
reports are sent to members as a booklet or CD. The fee given to academic
consultants except SAM personnel is determined by the Executive Board. No fee is
given to member companies’ agents who take place in the project. All
industrial property rights of mutual and innovative projects researched within
SAM Inc. belongs to SAM Inc.
The results of mutual and innovative projects are open for free to all
collaborators who have signed and accepted project agreement
terms. Collaborator companies are not able to make mention of project results
and agreement terms to the third parties without SAM’s permission. It is
expected from the personnel who have changed their companies not to share
concerned information with the new company. Otherwise, it is possible to
prosecute for compensation since industrial confidence is violated.
The company that would like to implement the project results, makes an
application to SAM. SAM discusses about informations that includes results
determined in project report, practical project details and all probable
problems that can be encountered during the project implementation with the
company. Towards these informations, a project implementation calender is
designated as a form and signed by the company and SAM Inc. Project results are
applied according to the project implementation calender in the company. If the
company demands, employees who had worked on the project or employees who have
expertise on the project takes place in project implementation. Also, SAM Inc.
is able to demand its concerned employee to join implementation studies. All
needed analysis support is given to the company during/after the implementation
studies. The company is expected to documentarily inform SAM about the results
of implementation studies. The document includes information about studies,
results, modifications, possible reasons of fail (if it fails), other necessary
practical information and suggestions without giving the special information
about company. Specific conditions of the company are not specified. If the
company does not prefer to utilize altough implementation studies are succesful,
it is demanded from the company to state the reasons. If the company prefers to
utilize the study, it is expected from the company to determine the profits with
a computative study. These informations are used to develop project when needed.
If project based products are presented in fairs, or in similar situations; it
is expected from the company to display an expression that indicates SAM’s
contribution. Concerned with the implemented project’s proceeds, the company
voluntarily may prefer to donate SAM. In this case, a part of the donation
determined by the Executive Board, may be given to the project group.
Expenditures of mutual projects, innovative projects and general projects
(projects performed to create systematics for SAM to supply efficiency in
maintenance of activities, and SAM’s development) are paid by SAM Inc. Since
production situations varies in every company, the company can make
modifications during the implementation studies.  Even if these are important
modifications, they do not allay or eliminate any of SAM’s project ownership
or project rights.
Project results are able to be published in scientific magazines (if its name is
also displayed) with SAM’s permission. But according to the technological
potential of project results, publishing release may be forbidden or limited.
