X-Ray Fluoresence (XRF) (includes of ignition loss)
The technique is used to determine the composition of different materials, and to obtain datas for research and development and quality control. XRF shows a good performance and flexibility in complex sample analysis. Light elements can easily and clearly be established. When the standards for the sample can not be acquired, semi-quantitative alaysis programme (SQX) is used. XRF device gives information about the chemical composition as elemental, oxide and special compound (Fe, Fe203, FeS2). If quantitative, semi quantitative and standard samples are provided, full quantitative analysis can be performed.
